In the last year, a packet network has been gradually growing in Scotland, leading to packet nodes popping up all across the country. Most of the major cities now have a 2m packet node, and most of these are linked to other cities, either over RF or (in a few cases) over the Internet.

If you are interested in getting into packet radio, and you live in Scotland, this is the page to check. Here we will identify the major nodes available in the region of each major city. We'll explain how mail forwarding works around the country, and give you some contacts if you want to find out further information.

Click here to see the Scottish Packet nodes, organised by proximity to major cities.

Click here to see the message routing network visualised, with an explanation as to how the 'magic' works.
