GB7WIN Winchester, Hampshire IO91hb
GB7WIN was commissioned on 23rd March 2025 as a joint project between Alan G8IPG and Jason M0MZF on the radio site at Crab Wood, Winchester as part of South West Hampshire Raynet's wider project to bring amateur radio operators across the wider area together. A special thanks goes to Matt 2E0HKD for his invaluable contribution to the node's BPQ configuration.
Current and planned ports
Freq. | Pol | Mode | NinoTNC mode | Status |
---|---|---|---|---|
144.9375 MHz | V | NinoTNC QPSK 3k6 IL2P+CRC | 0101 | active |
50.650 MHz | V | NinoTNC GFSK 4k8 IL2P+CRC | 0100 | planned |
70.4875 MHz | V | NinoTNC GFSK 4k8 IL2P+CRC | 0100 | considered; possible link to GB7EBN |
432.650 MHz | V | NinoTNC GFSK 4k8 IL2P+CRC | 0100 | considered; possible link to GB7IOW / GBCS |
As far as possible we hope to use the forthcoming 6m port for linking and the 2m port is for user access; with only the 2m port currently operational locked NETROM routes have been implemented to the following nodes with which we have a reliable circuit: GB7RDG (Reading, Berks), GB7BSK (Basingstoke, Hants), GB7WOD (Woodley, Berks) and perhaps MB7NPW (Pewsey, Wilts).
