 +
+MB7UBK was an experimental LoRa-VHF APRS Gateway, in combination with the LoRa-APRS digi/igate [[aprs:mb7uba|MB7UBA]]. It has been taken offline as 2m on this site is now being used by the packet node [[nodes:gb7bsk|GB7BSK]].
 +
 +**How it used to work:**
 +
+Packets received on VHF were digipeated on LoRa from [[aprs:mb7uba|MB7UBA]], and packets received on LoRa were digipeated on VHF. This cross-band digipeating was done with the "directonly" setting in APRX for the VHF side, and rate limits were applied more stringently on the LoRa side.
 +
+Also acted as a VHF Fill-In Digi, with a "viscous" setting of 5 seconds. This meant any VHF packets received were digipeated back on VHF only if they are not heard being digi'd by someone else in 5 seconds. The reason for this is the very well situated MB7UG is nearby, and this usually digipeats everything with no problem, so rather than waste VHF airtime by doing it again, the viscous delay means it will only act as a true fill-in, repeating what was not heard by anyone else who may do a better job.

-Eventual plan is to include a LoRa-VHF APRS gateway in combination with MB7UBA
